The test stores no personal data. No names, no email addresses, no IP addresses and no tracking identifiers are recorded with your free test answers. Your answers and result are recorded anonymously so we can see how organisations score overall. Nothing recorded can identify you or your organisation.
Pages of the client service, including the survey and task pages clients send to their people, offer a Light/Dark switch. It stores your choice in a cookie named oa-appearance for up to one year. It contains only light or dark. It is not linked to your test answers and is not used for tracking. The free test pages do not offer the switch.
Signing in to the client service sets two more kinds of cookie. Sign-in cookies hold your signed-in session, so each page knows it is you. They are removed when you sign out. A cookie named oa_account remembers which organisation you last worked in, for up to 30 days. It contains only a reference to you and to that organisation. Neither is used for tracking or advertising, and neither is shared.
If you ask us to email you the Action Pack, we collect one thing: your email address.
We use it to send you the pack, and occasional updates on the book and the test. We rely on your consent, which you give by asking for the pack.
Your email address is never linked to your test answers or your result. The two are stored separately, by design.
Your email address is stored in a locked database in the United Kingdom. It is sent to you using an email delivery provider. We use a small number of service providers for hosting, storage and email delivery, and no one else. We never sell or share your address.
While you are on the test, your answers are kept in your own browser so you do not lose your result if you follow a link. A separate anonymous copy of your completed answers and result is recorded as described above. They are deleted when you close the tab, when you close your result, and in any case after fifteen minutes.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click and the updates stop.
You can ask us at any time to delete your email address entirely: write to help@organisationaladdiction.com and it will be done.
Unsubscribing stops further emails. We retain a minimal record of your address and your opt-out so that another pack request does not subscribe you again. You can ask us to delete your address by contacting us below.
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
